Nasus and Warwick don't count, because Rengar and Nidalee. Nor does Kindred, because Wolf's as much a wolf as Lamb is a lamb. And Lamb uses a bow.

Skins also don't count. If they did, Meowrick and Meowkai.

Also, a loyal protector kit suits a dog way more than a cat [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

We didn't have many cat themed champions, but we did have numerous dog themed ones.

There might be a champion who will get reworked into a dog. Vayne

In Vayne's lore her adoptive mother put a curse on herself to turn into a giant wolf in order to better hunt monsters, and since Vayne killed her, it makes sense that Vayne now bares that curse. So, in her rework, instead of getting an attack damage buff with her ultimate, it looks like she is instead going to turn into a big ol' dogo.

If by "links" you mean evidence, then I would point to Vayne's lore making that curse pretty important to the plot, and to Kai'Sa's development notes, where Kai'Sa started as a ranged vampire hunter who turned into a melee vampire. It looks like they are putting that marksmen switching to a melee champion mechanic on LoL's other vampire hunter, but you know, into a giant pupper. That and they failed with Quinn and want to try again.

i want to see her turn into beast mode. i hope it functions where she is basically as a different champion different passive/abilities due to form. if they develop it of course.

They could make it so the transformation is forced onto her at level 1. Like she transforms when enemies are at low health. Then later in the game she can control when she transforms, as she learns to control the wolf.

"sounds like my fetish" meme arises. besides that joke. that actually sounds cool btw you mean like how kayle lvl 6 to 16 transformation works (melee to ranged)? or you mean your forced to transform into melee due to their hp. and her ult with be to basically be like nid or its one of those OMG IM GOD transformation thats on a hefty cd.
