None of the people look at the big picutre of Ekko's kit

Hello, my name is GoG P0SEID0N. I have never posted on this site before but I decided to after reading a few more of those great "PLEASE NERF EKKO" forums. I have sat here and watched everyone bad mouth Ekko and how broken his kit is for a good amount of time. I figured it is time for someone to stick up for him like a lot of people have been waiting for. Everyone can leave some hate on it if they want and I might just read it but I just want to voice my opinion.

First off, Ekko is an auto attacking melee ap assassin, which means he has to get right up in your face to even get any of these abilities that are so broken off on you (passive and w execution). You know how hard that will be to do unless you stand there and let it happen? You have the ability to move just like every other person stop acting like you forgot how to click. He has 2 dashes on his e and if you get out of there then good job but if you don't then looks like you better rethink your strategy. "Oh but P0SEID0N have you seen his scaling?!" Of course I have, if it is someone like Ekko that has to get in your face to hit you hard enough to actually kill you then hell yeah he better have some high ass scaling, shooooot. Every player has the option for a spell called flash why don't you give it a try? If you are so scared of dying to him just blow that flash CD and gtfo its not that complicated.

Second, all this item 3070 item 3070 ing over this boys ult? Come on people, if you actually stay in a fight with him long enough (4 seconds) for his ult to catch up so he can get the damage on you? That's your own damn fault, not his abilities fault. And it heals? Big deal, it is a quicker DrMundo ult, but it probably doesn't heal as much. So yeah he heals? So he has a large chunk of burst on his ult? Get over it because if you get hit by something that is that easy to dodge you might as well put your mouse down and go afk for the rest of that game cause if I was on your team I wouldn't let you live it down. Not saying I won't die to it but if I do it will be my own actions that led up to it.

Just the last bits and bobs of my little rant here.

  1. You all beg for new champs to come out, then you whine once you see what Riot comes up with that you want it to be nerfed before it even goes live! For crying out loud, every champ has a counter just learn them and stop complaining and nagging. Riot has better things to do than focus on nerfing this one champ so that he becomes essentially worthless unless in the right hands. (them LCS players though)

  2. Think about a champ like Katarina going against an Ekko, her Q,E,W combo is already over 3/4s of your hp gone. Yes he has a stun but it has a delay before it goes off and he also has to walk into it. If it was me and a Katarina was coming towards me with them short ass CDs? Pfft like I'm going to walk into it to stun her before she can E up to me. Stop crying that he can't die, some players might not be quick enough to hit the ult in TIME (ayy) and even if they are it might be on CD or maybe she didn't use her E yet or it is off CD so she just jumps right back onto his little time winding booty and continues going all out on him like my dad did when I would try to run as a child. Stop thinking this fool is unkillable. (don't think I dislike Katarina cause I play her as much as the next 5,000 league players)

  3. Ekko is the champ I have been waiting for. He is exactly what i have wanted for my champ. I don't care if he isn't as good as everyone thought, I will make it work. I will make sure I do good with him because that's what I want to do.

In the end stop thinking every new champ is going to completely change the game as we know it because the last time I checked everyone thought the same for a few champs that came out cough Bard cough Get over the fact that every new champ isn't going to be weak and there may be some strong ones. Learn to counter him and stop trying to get him nerfed down to nothing before he is even released.

For real though, most of you people that are wanting a nerf are just afraid you won't be able to counter him and you might as well calm down with that cause you finna get these hands. item 1051 item 3025

Really pathetically weak argument trying to pass as "a defense of Ekko". Your entire argument paraphrased, "He's an auto attacking champion so that justifies 2-3 kits worth of broken, massively overpowered abilities all crammed into one kit". That about it?

ANOTHER cough melee cough champion with 2 instant gap closers and and THREE different slowing mechanics, but if someone ever gets hit by Ekko it's "their fault" and they better "rethink their strategy"?

It took me two seconds to identify and 30 secs to type out the glaring, massive holes in your "argument".

The champ is retardedly overloaded with extremely influential and high impact tools. If you could play multiples of the same champion on the same team, there would be NO REASON not to play 10 ekko's every game. Ekko has every tool to deal with any situation.

Another "melee caster" assassin with ultra gap close and is unkiteable. Yeah man, I sympathize for those "melee" champions.

Well said. Definitely better to hold off on true criticism about champion balance until after it's been on live for some time.

He seems fun to me, and he also seems easy to counterplay. Post 6 think of how easy it is to follow him through the jungle when you can see his ghost of where he was 4 seconds ago
