Why complain about mobility
Most players prefer playing mobile champions, anyways, so why not embrace the mobility, and just update champions with little to no mobility, to have mobility?

because it will make most of our champions the same as the others with the only diference being cosmetics
Because some people actually want to have different experince while paying different champs and not have same game over and over again
If I want to play no mobile mage than I'll play no moblie mage not every character has to have a gap closer/disengage
Because then everyone would be able to do this:
Issue with mobility is the only direct counter to a mobile champion is point-and-click CC (
,
), and Riot is trying its hardest to utterly remove that from the game because of a lack of "counterplay". (which, ironically, that's the only definitive counter to mobility other than more mobility, so shouldn't dashes and such be classified as having a lack of counterplay?)
There are champions that can do much more damage and have much more utility than their immobile counterparts (One example being the poster child Kalista, whose E is basically an extremely better version of Twitch's E, plus tons of mobility to go alongside it).
The other thing about them is that most of them can be out of position, but their mobility allows them to re-position themselves in mere seconds (Lee Sin and Leblanc come to mind in this case). Immobile champions are unable to do this, thus they require much more attention to where they are and what they need to do. If you're out of position with immobility, pray your flash is even off of cooldown. With mobile champions, they don't have to worry nearly as much, for they can flash & dash their way out of anything they don't want to be a part of. If everyone had mobility equal to their counterparts, there would barely be any consequence for being out of position, and escaping another champion could become way easier. An example is the current LCS, where matches are now more drawn out with less kills, as the players are not only rarely seen out of position, but when they are out they can easily fall back with their dashes and other such things.
(Note when I say mobility, I refer to dashes and blinks, not really movespeed, as that can be countered by slows, a thing that most champions have)
You're not playing against faker man. Chances are you can bait out those mobile spells a lot of the time or capitalize when somebody messes up. Complainers want it both ways. The complainers say "riot only cares about competitive play and only makes these changes based on the stats from the best players" then you apply the concept that these mobile champions are impossible to get away from/catch/win against because of the way the pros play them.
Well I'm assuming you're not playing against diamond+ players so guess what? You CAN get away from these mobile champs. You CAN catch these mobile champs. Do you know why? Well I just said why buddy, you're not playing vs diamond+ players. Your playing with the scum of the earth. Just get better and learn how to capitalize on peoples mistakes. Learn how to better read the map, then when zed comes bot in 10 seconds because of his mobility and double kills you because you were overextended you won't say "ZED GOT ME CUZ OF HIS MOBILITY, FUCK RITO FUCK THIS GAME ETC". You'll look at the map and say "I can't trust my shit head mid because he's not diamond and didn't call mia, maybe zed's coming to kill my overextended ass" instead of zoning in on the lane you're about to be "winning" and not paying attention to 1 of the other 10 people in the match.
Then you won't have to come on the boards and complain so much and you can practice and get better instead. :D
The issue with mobility is that many of the mobile champions do not pay for their mobility. To put it as bluntly as I can, if you are an extremely mobile champ you should in no way shape or form be able to zero an enemy out in a simple rotation or even burst heavily. Mobility and power need to have a distinctly inverse relationship and the fact that they don't really does hurt the champion variance and identity of many champions in this game. If lesser mobile champs do not have clear and varied ways of shutting down that mobile cannon, then what use are they? Having the best of both worlds and no true danger isnt healthy at all.
All mobility champions will get nerfed to oblivion which makes 'poor' non-mobile ones freaking OP with their outdated point and click bullshit abilities.
