I like the new dragon except for one thing

The new dragon is awesome. The only real problem I see with it is once again the support role.

Dragon used to be worth gold which was nice because as a support your are doomed to be the poor one on the team.

Once riot made it worth buffs instead of gold it was just another avenue lost for supports to keep up with their team.

Don't get me wrong I love the new direction with dragon, just that 8% AD and AP don't do much for a lot of the supports out there, so almost everyone else gets to take advantage of the damage buff.

Real talk: Why is it so difficult / acceptable that supports aren't allowed to earn the type of gold other players are?

shouldn't there be a way to get fed as the support outside of stealing kills?

What do you need Gold for? You can finish your core build (Sightstone+Mobos) on your second recall and Pink Ward upkeep costs are fairly minimal. Supports may get 2/3 of the Gold of a solo laner, but their items also happen to be heavily discounted (Talisman for 2200g, Crucible for 2450g).

Roaming for kill on other lanes and bonus gold from assist streaks should be enough to cover all your needs.

I don't mind. If I'm performing even remotely well I'm usually one of the first to complete my build, with the money I get from my Gold item and assist gold (and a couple of kill steals, I hate ending a game with 0 kills >.>).
