The whole point I went TB was so that I could get the matchmaking bonus that comes with playing a new champ(a champ I've never touched, ever), yet I get matched against another of the same champ with more experience than me and knows wtf they're doing? Honestly, I doubt your matchmaking "bonus" even exists, unless ya'll legitimately can't code matchmaking for shit.
The problem is that no one uses it, not that it's poorly designed. Riot would need to remove blind pick (or integrate it into teambuilder) for it to have anything close to good matchmaking.
The problem is that you can't do a full TB matchmaking that makes sense. You're basically asking your MMR for teambuilder to be reset for every champion individually.
I sure wouldn't want Bjergsen's LeBlanc showing up in my game just because he's never played her in team builder.
I think it could afford to, at the VERY least, not match against mirrors. Or just not have it at all, cuz it's very deceptive.
