Illaoi - Broken?

Hey everybody just looking to get some input on Illaoi and her massive dps. I've been facing her with many of my top players, Garen, Panth and Xin and cannot seem to best her. Seems the vines grow at such a rapid pace that it is hard to counter her do to the many vines and the huge crit off each one. My idea for a change would be to cap the vines to the area she stays at and erase the vines at a certain distance away. or on a timer. The damages from the crit have been huge with 700+ damage at lvl 5 on Xin and over 1300+ crit damage at lvl 11. Any input on this would be appreciated as I'm not sure if I'm the only one that has had problems solo laning against her. Also, my mains are rank 7 and I know I am not the best player but I feel the push from this hero just makes it near impossible to solo against.

I just feel like her E hitbox is complete bullshit. You can completely sidestep it and still get hit.

Plus the stupid amounts of damage you take from it tilts the me like nothing else.

uh... ok so as basically an illaoi one trick

pantheon (fuck this guy) is actually pretty hard countered by illaoi because he dosent have the mobility to dodge her abilities, cant engage with his jumpstun thing cause illaoi just presses e and when he starts his spear stab presses w, later on you can build boots to dodge the tentacles or if you can predict early on illaoi just loses

garen same thing with pantheon except even worse cause he cant even poke back due to lack of range and mobility

xin... i dont know, why are you playing him toplane again? seriously though xin should be able to dodge tentacles with relative ease

if illaoi gets picked i play fiora as she is my off champ that im pretty confidednt with.

maokai and urgot are very hard matchups maoikai due to his sustain passive and urgot due to his passive and abilities in general

just my opinion also rank 7 dosent really tell us much, its more like your elo and winrate that does

and if you cant play against her you could ban her as well, guessing you ban darius tho

Garen is actually a decent pick into Illaoi. Lane will tilt toward whoever seems to get first kill. When she grabs your soul just q->e into her. The silence stops her w and the rapid spinning returns your soul quicker. Every time she gets hit it reduces the timer for the soul.

Panth can do this to a limited effect. As the second poster said, the stun is telegraphed and easy to e off of. If you want to use it effectively you'll have to be in the middle of minions to block it. I'd use the stun defensively when she grabs your soul. That way you can stun, which gives her less time to damage, and then do his repeated stabs which also reduces the time.
