Isn't there a way to PVP against people closer to my skill level

So I've been trying to get better at this game and clearly bots are too easy and I'm not going to get better playing against them, but I almost always lose in pvp and it's so bad that I can't learn anything. Every game i get curb stomped and consequently cursed out by my teammates. I've won 2 of my last 15 games in pvp and the two games I did win were cause I had some really good teammates, not because of anything I contributed. Is there really no way to play against people even close to my skill level.

If i can offer advice, im not the best, but id say do customs. Make a custom game and let people join, and let them know you want to do this so you can learn better! Youd be surprise how many higher lvl player will be willing to help!

No, unfortunately the match making is really bad until higher levels/ranked. It's not uncommon to get a level 10 player against level 30 gold and platinum players, it's one of the worst parts of this game. The easiest way is to make a brand new account (smurf) and start PvPing there, after a few games it should be more balanced until you are level 20-30 it becomes extremely imbalanced again. I'm not trying to shit talk LoL, it's a great game, but the match making is terrible. It's extremely obvious to me that it sacrifices balanced matches for fast queue time, especially at lower levels.

There is no way I'm on the same skill level as golds and platinums, yet I see them very often. And there are level 10 beginners in the same games as me, so it's even more unfair to them to play against these ranked players who have been playing for years.

Edit: Just noticed you are level 30 and starting Pvp, I strongly suggest make a new account play bots till level 6 (pvp requirement) then start playing normals. Even though there are a lot of ranked players on smurfs at low level, it will be a hell of a lot more balanced then if you try to queue at 30.

Sadly, no. You just have to keep playing P v P until the game realises "Oh shit, he doesn't belong in this category."

it can also happen the other way around, you could win 19 games in a row, and then the game would be "Oh shit, we better move his ranking up."

Just keep playing.

thats what ranked is for buddy. you should get placed in a league matching with your skill set. thats assuming you dont already play ranked.

if anything most of the people in your league will be worst that you at some point. and your next post will be about "elo hell"

I haven't started playing ranked yet cause I've heard that it's absolute cancer. I don't even have enough champions for it anyways.
