It just shouldn't, you should never be further rewarded for playing low skill cap champions. Players need to be rewarded for playing high risk high reward skill champions.
Also - if you're wondering why LCS viewership is dropping. Nobody wants to watch a Cho Gath/Maokai/Sejuani every single game, while Mid laners and champions that aren't brain dead are of little use.
