There is sometimes a long loading time before matches. During this time players will afk or alt-tab, and miss part of the beginning of a match. Alternately, some people don't connect or the game hangs on the loading screen. A ready check in game would easily solve the problem of afk's and dc's because of problems during loading. This is a common feature of other competitive games, I don't see why not in League.
UberAffe1 votesMight be a little obnoxious with the multiple confirmations, joining queue/ selecting champ/ "ready in game", but I'm all for it! If someone is not ready within x minutes the game is canceled, maybe a punishment for those that didn't say ready.
ABlueQuaker1 votesI wouldn't make it so the match is cancelled. It would probably be better to just have it time-out (after say, 2 minutes 30 seconds as a minimum potentially up to 5 minutes) and start the game.
Otherwise this is a pretty good idea. Would also give teams time to talk strategy before readying-up unless Riot blocks chatting until the game actually starts.

UberAffe1 votesYes, and they will have the 1-5 minutes of the loading screen and the time to hit the ready button to get back in, if it takes longer than that it will suck for them but playing down a person for the rest of the team is even worse.
