Prob just a noob thing but

I feel like yi is just a tad bit broken. I feel like if you were to increase his passive by an extra hit, or make stuns last longer while his ult is on? with his passive he chunks champs left and right, two shooting marksmen and other assassins, and with life steal, easily fighting tanks and fighters. plus a self heal? granted the heal isn't to strong, nor is his E. To counter him you need a stun or snare, or any hard cc. but unless you are morg, stunning him feels unrewarding because his ult last long enough for him to get in range to Q you again and have his passive go off and 2 shot you.

I am by no means an expert on this game, but i yi just feels like a little much.

now this is coming from a bronze 2, primarily normal's player, so maybe he is just right for ranked because you can counter pick. so with this new thornmail and say, a ramus, yi would prob be stopped dead.

So if you're only focus is on the ranked matches and we normies have to deal with the left overs, then i guess there is nothing to be done about it

just my 2 cents

Don't think you're a noob just because of your low rank; I'm unranked and still don't think that so don't let your rank ever get you down.

As for Yi, I myself don't think he is OP. Why? He's a champion where, if everyone on your team focuses him, he is legitimately rendered useless.

If he's a jungler, make sure you are warding deep in the jungle; if he comes bot lane and starts the snowball off with two fresh kills, you will regret it late game. Force him to wait until team fights to get kills so as not to let him snowball.

In teamfights, like I said before, FOCUS HIM. I main Nami, and I used to play Lissandra a LOT, and I recall numerous games where (before I was level 30), I would focus him, but we could still never kill him all the way because people simply would not listen to my advice and try focusing him in team fights. Now? Often times when I see a Master Yi, the only kills he manages to get come from my own teammates' simple mistakes (that would include me), such as overextending. Team fights, I often times can at least convince the rest of my teammates that actually have CC to focus him like HELL, because when he's eliminated, it HARSHLY impacts a team's capabilities. Trust me, assuming you can ever manage to convince a large majority of your team to focus him in team fights, he will become so useless late game it's embarrassing.

Don't feel bad that you struggle with him, I used to as well and after the countless games of having to deal with what seemed to be utter bullshit, I've learned how to counter him and thankfully he is not much of a problem anymore.

Trust me, if at least three members of your team have some form of hard CC, literally EVERY SINGLE TIME he steps into your range in team fights, FOCUSSSSSSS HIMMMMM, and he should not be a problem anymore. I don't play ranked so I'm not sure how well communication with other members work, but at least in normals (I play with three of my real life friends in normals all the time so this may be why), I don't really get trolls honestly.

As a person who plays Yi a lot, I agree with this.

Yeah I've actually seen this happen a lot, people get so pissed off and don't even think "Maybe if we all focused him?" and the game just disintegrates from there unfortunately. Wish people had more patience :c

You know? I've actually always wondered why people got boots on him myself. What's the point? His ultimate gives him constant, HIGH movement speed. Why do you need boots? Unless his ultimate has a ridiculously high CD (I wouldn't know myself, I don't actually use Yi yet ironically the one skin I got mystery gifted by Riot for good behavior was Ionia Yi lol), you really don't need to worry about buying boots on him.

Yeah, Yi gets to be tremendously powerful because he has some of the simplest counterplay in league. His damage is 100% melee, so he'll never out range your team, and the way to beat him is to burst him out as a group, preferably while he's cc'ed.

It's hard to learn what you can and can't win a fight against, especially if you need more than one person coordinating to get that win. But copious experience, and keeping your eyes and mind open to what's happening around you will eventually teach you a lot of useful things like that.

Also, if you use ignite or anything else with grievous wounds on yi, his ability to lifesteal drastically falls off. Works well if no other cc is available
