My friend told me that no matter how I played in my first placement I would be placed in silver 5. Is that true ? Because that's what happened even is lost 8 of my placement games and i'm curious about that.
TiltoverEnforcer3 votesYep. Most first-time placements will put you somewhere between Bronze 1 and Silver 2. Of course, there will be exceptions, but this is a decent range to follow.
Dat Nami2 votesPretty much. The only way you start bronze is if you lose 9/10 or 10/10 loss. Going 8/10 wins will land you between s1 and g5 (not sure why. Possibly due to the fact your first ranked games ever are based on your normal MMR ranking or so the theory goes)

riot do u think there is ANY chance in hell said player goign 2/10 would be able to CLIMB out of bronze into silver at their current skill? if not.. WHY THE FUCK DID YOU PUT THEM IN SILVER?
if you win 10/10 you should be placed bronze 1 90 LP, with 1 free win when you reach promos
