muting pings

first of all i understand the need for the ping system in a game with no integrated voice comms (which im 70% happy with tbh), pings are the next best thing. but when i ping a malzhar support to be careful three times (i always ping three times, with ANY ping, force of habit to give plenty of warning) as hes alone in enemy side of midlane with no vision of there jgl then he ends up dying and proceeds to, for the next to 3-5 minutes spam his ping on me to the point where i have to play with no sound to ignore it.

there needs to be a feature to mute pings for these rare occasions or if somehow theres a way to do it and i dont know please someone tell me
