So Riot, what are we doing about Karthus?

In 2015 you released Bard, Ekko, Kindred and Tahm who all have a way to ruin a Karthus ult. If you add the other common picks like Soraka, Fizz, Kalista and probably soon Taric (Fizz/Vlad also etc), it makes quite a bit of counter play to a champs ULTIMATE. The ult is the ability that is thematically centered around a champ and basically defines it - and it's supposed to be impactful. It feels like Karthus has been screwed completely by the meta/reworks/new champs with their 'get out of jail' card, and then on top of that he got NERFED recently out of nowhere when he had a low pick AND winrate, and completely left out in the rain for the "Immobile" Mage Update.

Is something going to be done about Karthus? Because right now it feels really, really bad to pick him. His ultimate is supposed to be a finisher, but instead now with all these new champs that can 'save' someone out of position, or who has low health it has given people way too much counterplay against this champion.
