His ult is actually pretty bad now. I can handle damage nerfs on everything else, but a channeled hop/skip enemy displacement is pretty crappy.

And they removed more then 60% of its potential damage at the same time. Not to mention the old ultimate had synergy with his passive and W. Zac is a shell of his former self now.

My guess is a huge amount of people fking up his ulti and accidentally helping enemy team. Or prolly more than a few trolls "accidentally" faceplanting that amumu into their adc.

Also didn't Zac have a pretty low playrate? Any kind of change will temp. make him more popular. So lot of people who didn't even know how to play old Zac are playing new Zac, and still don't know how to play him+he's more complex in general now=higher learning curve, for both old and new Zac players.

May still need buffs, but, eh, give it some more time before calling that.

They have buffs on pbe for his q and damage.

He is under tuned and his ult is just not as useful.

Well that is very possible.... since Zac ult is kind of like Poppy ult or Blitz hook two abilities which can backfire really hard if they are used wrong

Since when using his ult to try and catch enemy carries because of the charge up time the enemy tanks and fighters are likely to be able to join as well (the targets you don't want to pull into your team) though smacking all 10 players together in a massive brawl can be advantageous if Zac's team has better teamfighting abilities

Or Zac can use it to move the enemy tanks and fighters away from his team (though Zac himself will still be stuck with them)

Zac can still use his ult as CC by double casting it but then it's pretty much just a worse version of his old ultimate

Zac lost over 60% of his ultimates damage, not to mention healing from blobs, and mobility so he could get a situational gimmick nobody wanted or asked for. His Q is no longer a viable option for laning on Zac, killing Zac top and mid, and the change to his ultimate ruined his ability to defend his own jungle so now he just needs to run if an enemy jungler invades. Zac's winrate has stabilized at 42% and his playrate went from 6.5% to 4.5% and dropping. Zac was gutted. Anyone who played him before the rework knows this.

his new Q and ult have very different use cases than his old moves, and people are adjusting. expect the winrate to go up after a while; although i do believe zac was hit by the changes regardless

I think his new Q has a lot of potential in top as a bully spell. But it's also really buggy imo (the slam only travels a certain distance, so it can stop when the two targets have not collided).

Ive noticed his auto range is messed up too... sometimes Zac will walk directly into the target I am trying to auto before it goes off...by that time the spell has worn off and I can no longer slam.

As a Diamond level Zac top and mid OTP, the new Q is actually much worse for solo laning. It is really hard to farm by slamming things together which means you can only use it to harass or farm by hitting one minion at a time. The Q used to be your tool for farming and harassing and a skilled Zac could do both at the same time. Zac also lost a lot of waveclear with this change which is a lot more hurtful then I thought it would be. The longer CD makes this problem worse.

His Q, E, and R got nerfed hard with no compensation.

And his passive and W got indirectly nerfed by the reduction in blobs from your Q and R. Everything about Zac was nerfed somehow.
