Noobs in Gold too?

My biggest pet peeve with the matchmaking system is how Riot sticks so many noobs in Silver games. Most of them are totally outmatched and they ruin games with terrible play. Noobs should be placed in bronze, as that will greatly improve the ranked experience for the veteran players who take the game seriously.

I spent 3 seasons as a Silver support main, playing my hardest in thousands of games, trying to climb out. So much is random in Silver with who you get on your team. There are many good players stuck there who've just had too much bad luck in matchups, getting too many noobs who hold them back. If everyone in silver had earned their spots the games would be much better quality and those worthy of gold would be able to climb out with good play rather than luck in teammate matchups.

I finally switched to Ivern Jungle main this season and have made it to gold 7 or 8 times already by controlling the flow of the game from my jungle position. Nevertheless, I always seem to get a streak of bad teams that send me back down. For some reason the teams I get in my gold games seem to be even worse on average than when I'm in S1 or S2. This last game (I was at 54 lp in G5) my 4 teammates had a combined 20 wins between them. I have 504 wins this season. The bot lane had a combined 2 wins. Of course they fed horribly and brought down our team.

How can Riot make such an amazingly creative and challenging game and yet be so totally clueless with their matchmaking system?

Lemme tell you as a platinum player that smurfed, you don't learn jack shit playing in bronze. Silver you have a chance of learning the game as everybody is going for that gold (mostly for the rewards), but in bronze there is a lot of uncontrollable factors outside teammates being bad or new.

You're not going to learn how to lane properly against a bronze 5 katarina top. So when you get to silver, you just feed your ass off and hold more silver / S6 gold players back.

Also I wouldn't complain about your teammates once you get into gold for the first time, you're not used to playing in that skill rating and you may not know a few tricks to keep in pace with the guys there.

I agree there are flaws in matchmaking but putting noob players in bronze, through experience, is down right not giving them a chance to even learn the game.

Did you expect people to become gods when you transitioned from s1 to g5 or something lmao? People do stupid shit all the way up to master. They just begin to consistently do less and less of the stupid shit, so they climb.

It's also kind of a joke that you believe hordes of silver players are stuck because of "bad teammates."

I was silver for a while, and i have many friends who are silver, and I can confidently say if you're not an idiot you can climb out of silver without too much trouble. Just patience and a few hundred games, and you're out.

I do agree there are some good silver players, but they wouldn't be stuck in silver unless some part of their gameplay is severely lacking.

this game company is corrupted and has no respect 'Californian company Riot Games, best known for its billion-dollar franchise League of Legends, is now 100 percent owned by Chinese company Tencent.'
