Anti-Lux main support guide

CatKisses··7 votes·2,741 views

Welcome to my Lux support guide, don't waste your time reading this if you don't like Lux or want to do this guide. Lux

  1. Max W first. You are a SUPPORT, not a mid lane mage. When you max shield first, the shield will be very strong and you'll be able to keep your ADC alive. Max E second then Q.

  2. Buy Ardent or Redemption as your first item. Buy Redemption if you're falling behind a little bit with your ADC. BUY SUPPORT ITEMS ONLY.

  3. Avoid taking kills and peel. Start fights with your q and ultimate, do not execute with your ultimate unless you saved it and your ADC isn't there to secure it.

This guide was meant to trigger any Lux main who builds Luden's first and takes cs later on in the game as support. Please use this guide to properly support as a Lux.[slayer-jinx-wink]

Then why would someone play Lux if you want her to be full support while any other enchanter can do what she does and better ? as Lux Support it's prefer to max Q first , maxing W first is useless , and don't forget that W is a skillshot that can be missed depending on how your adc moves , and it has a high cd Maxing W second is better she can build 3 support items at most , the rest should be ap items or she will get outscaled so hard

this guide does NOT tell u how to properly support as lux

your lvl 20

lux support build item 3098 first back.. then grabs a item 3070 before rushing item 3504

afteru have completed item 3098 item 3020 item 3504 and item 3003

the final 2 slots can vary depending on the game.. but a good default is item 3905 and item 3089

you max W SECOND.. not first

u max E first, and Q last.

the only time u would max W first is if u have very heavily losing lane.

which u shouldnt be doing because u only pick lux into favorable matchups.. if u were to vs hard CC and would need to max W first u shouldn't have picked lux in the first place

kelptomancy and E let you poke your oppoents down you can even throw your auto out beforeyour E reaches its destination and as long as u detonate your E first u still get your passive proc and kelpto

you should also have futures market.

i mean sure if u stuck with lux into a bad matchup then sure u can max W first... but... u shouldn't have picked lux into a bad matchup.. lux isnt a support u blind pick... u only pick her after seeing what support they have.

i have been playing lux support since season 3.

i dont mind u making a guide, but guides are supposed to help people... not give them incorrect info.

lux supports transitions into a late game mage becuase how well her shield scales with AP. and how much her E costs requiring you to get enough mana to spam it.. which requires a tear

if anyone build they way u said they would be completely out of mana past 25 min in any siege without 2 oceans which u cannot guarantee, and they would do next to no damage.. and thier shield would be MUCH weaker. becuase of how well i scales with ap and how nerfed + shielding has gotten.

maxing W first it may provide u a safer early game if u are LOSING, but like i said.. u dont PICK lux support into a losing matchup.

My Opinion, I don't think any guides are incorrect. Anyways, this guide was supposed to be a joke for any lux main who does that kind of stuff when they're autofilled as support.

i believe lux can takedown or help take down any supp and adc if her own adc is good enough. react speed is crucial. ive been having problems only when paired with an underwhelming adc , if adc good enough we've always powered thru the lane.

that depends.. i mean theoretically they can... but you would have to not get CCed the entire laning phase.

lux is EXTREMELY squishy,a dn can very easily be completely one shot if she get hit by a Thresh Blitzcrank Pyke Leona

and after that the lane is going to be over. i perfect to take kelpto which can put you extremely far ahead but it does force u to go aggressive with your autos to proc your passive.

if u take thing like aery, you can play safer because you wont be attempting to get without auto range to proc your passive and kelpto.

they both work, and aery works better whn defensive matchups were kelepto is insanely better if offensives matchups.

if u get stuck in an defensive matchup then yeah aery would be the better choice, item build is still the same but would would have to play safer.

an aery build can deal with a lot more matchups but a klepto build can completely snowball you to absurdity into a good matchup.. it depends.. if you are going to blind pick her i recommend 2 separate rune pages.. default to aery and then if u get a winning matchup take your 2nd kelepto page.

your still going to get murdered if you get hit by a hard CC, but aery will allow you to play a a safer distance in those band matchups giving you a higher chance to dodge them

I had a Lux once that constantly took my cs and kills, even in early game. So I decided to go sup Lucian , but when I did so she accused me of trolling....

As someone who plays lux support sometimes, I don't rush Luden's, I don't rush Ardent, and I don't rush Redemption.

I rush a long forgotten item that I find very powerful on Lux, even if you don't max W first (I tend to max E -> W -> Q on support Lux).

That item is......

DRUMROLLS

item 3174.

The playstyle of Athene's fits her as a support perfectly imo; being a poke threat allows you to empower your shields with a burst heal as well, offering a mix of utility and damage.

My second item tends to be item 3905 as this further enhances my poke because it gives 70 AP, it gives a bunch of MS so it makes kiting easier, it gives Spooooooky Ghosts that help with catching out our enemies and making picks, and it makes landing the first skillshots easier because they're slowed and thus have a harder time dodging your skillshots.

Third will often be one of these three items: item 3504, item 3107, item 3222 (depending on scenario):

item 3504 is my most common choice, since it provides a lot of synergy with autoattackers like Tristana who are very commonly picked for the botlane carry position, and can empower non-botlane champions as well (Azir, Diana, MasterYi, and Jax being the best examples I can think of).

item 3107 provides a strong defensive tool because of its mass AOE heal, and it also provides a 10% max HP true damage pop on anyone in radius should they be standing in it when it pops. This item is my go-to when I feel like I need an item that can turn a fight on its own.

And item 3222 is my defensive option, which I pick when I need CC cleansing. It also gives the most heal/shield power, which makes it the strongest buff to my W's shield.

If more lux support players actually bought support items, I'd be less frustrated with seeing a lux support in my game, honestly. One of the best supports I had was a Lux support that actually built support. She finished her Support item, got a Sightstone, built an Athene's and a Redemption, and actually supported me. It was mindblowing.

I don't take Ludens or Cs. I take support item (spellthief into eye of watchers) and unholy grail early along with ardent and redemption. I max order e w q though for the poke and zone first and shields second. They can't get ahead if they can't cs. ;)

i actually go q e w then max q then w then e skills. as for items, item 3098 item 3174 item 3905 item 3158 item 3165 not in taht order but iot seems to work better since i can heal up with athenes ( rush first ) reduce cd with boots and the rest fill up as you see how does the battle go forth. either more ap or maybe crystal scepter for extra slows paired with E etc etc. lux is actually a great support but heavily depends on a COMPETENT ADC, when she engages with roots and E and R. mainly engaging with Q E combo to burn out the flash then mega-poke with R so that either adc finishes it or unfortunately you get thje kill
