Why do we lose LP when we have afks?

This is honestly retarded... Losing LP with an afk. Its not right riot because they have an extra man to win teamfights, its a 4v5, its almost impossible to win with an afk. Especially if its a troll when they just move a little bit to not get the ban timer. Riot you gotta do something about the AFK's because im honestly sick and tired of it. Atleast have us lose half of the LP we lose instead of 25.

Because the game cannot tell if you are missing a player. They are working on a new feature though that allows us to leave the game and go to a new one if there is an afk, hopefully it will be finished soon.
