Remake during a series... loses you your series?

Last promo game! We had an afk, but no problem /remake is here to save the day! We, of course, use the command to end the game and I go to my profile to discover that the remake game was, I guess, counted as a loss? I was no longer in my series and was left at 81 LP. Is this a bug? Or is remake really just this cruel.

EDIT: It displayed I wasn't in promos and that I had 81 LP but I played another game and got promoted. I guess it was just a client-side visual bug because remake was just added.

I really hope this is a bug. The whole point of remake was that it doesn't negatively impact your ranking if someone else is not connected. There are some outliers, like if you are queued with the not connected player at higher ranks, you get penalized as well. Assuming this wasn't the case, it's kinda harsh that they didn't mention this in any of the information packages that were about the remake system.

Yup remake is trash like most Riot features these days. Wouldn't an automatic remake make a lot more sense. Okay someone didn't connect or get back into game, it's been 5 minutes. Remake. No vote, not first blood bullshit. Gg

Hey, I asked some guys from Player Support to look into it and got this;

It may have showed up as a loss for him, but the game never counted towards anything and he ended up getting promoted, actually The game where he went to 80 was a normal game where he lost That was the match where he played as Miss Fortune 8/10/12 There is a a visual bug that sometimes occurs upon a remake where players will see the game as a "loss" in the client. I believe that visual bug caused some confusion 😦

I'll update if I get more.

Did you stand around in the fountain waiting for remake to become available? I saw a reddit post that a guy did that when he got an afk (since he didn't want to risk first blood (this was before the change)) and he got marked for afk as well, thus resulting in the remake losing him his promotional.

As an interesting note, you technically lose LP like normal for each loss in promos, so being down 19 LP seems like it only factored in one game as a loss.

I'm pretty sure Riot said that /remake wasn't supposed to negatively affect your series, so this could very likely be a bug.

When I was in series and I lost a game, went to my profile to see the one X out of the five, but it showed 85 lp. But, I was still in series. I think it is a common occurring bug nowadays to be shown the LP that you lost from the losses in your series instead of being shown that you are still in series. A way to get around it and see if you're in your series still is to press the 'Leagues' button on your profile.

It is weird. Yesterday I played in a blind pick against a team which had a diana afk. We managed to first blood them and more than that it was like 4-0 and they used the comand even if it was already 5th minute. Like wtf, i thought it is not possible if someone dies or after 3rd min mark.

Diamond + tiers during a remake will still lose the match while all other tiers bellow that will not.

I assume this feature is similar to taking a loss if you failed to pick a champion in champ select or if you fail to ban. Once in a series if you begin champ selection if you cause a game to be remade it's a loss.

I had a promo game where we had an afk and we couldn't even remake, because he kept connecting and disconnecting in base for the whole game

Probably a bug. I was in my promos and had a remake and it didn't count is as a loss for me.
