I was going to upvote this...then I saw that it was going to be a Gold+ Season Reward. You know that less than half of LoL players are Gold+, right? This would be a terrible idea for a Season Reward.

The fact that it's a reward for a rank at all is what I don't like. What if someone just doesn't play ranked? What if someone is in the 70+ people who are in Bronze? Just give them the refunds mate.

Why are players required to play Ranked and be silver or above to benefit from something this valuable? That's unfair to the many players that don't play Ranked at all.

No thats not how that works. If you want something then make it and objective you want to obtain.

Whose fault is it for not playing ranked if they want the refund? Its not like they have to keep it in silver. Once its there it is there. Theres no decay from Gold 1 Down.

Valuable? Do you know how much Championship Riven is worth? That isn't coming back. Are we going to ask riot to bring back Championship Riven because "I wasn't playing at that time" or "I didn't have the RP for it at that time?" No. Thats what makes Championship Riven valuable, its rarity and how it was received.

There's a difference between refund tokens and borders. Borders are exclusively for Ranked, whereas refund never was when they first gave out 3. Your argument is completely invalid and shallow. Some people like to play Ranked, some people like to play casually. You can disagree with it all you want, but I can assure you you're wrong, and no one will agree with your short-sighted reasons.

You should be happy you get refunds at all. Most games do not have any kind of refund system, and there are plenty of resources (SkinSpotlights, YouTube commentaries, LoLKing or MOBAFire guides, free rotation) that should allow you to make informed decisions about skins and champions before you buy them, not after.
