Unclear Cho'Gath ult indicator

After playing multiple games of Cho'Gath, I realized how unclear the ult notification is. The animation that indicates if an opponent is able to be 1-shot is misleading in a variety of ways. Firstly, the red color is somewhat transparent and can be sometimes hard to see. Secondly, it takes a while for the animation to appear or disappear depending on whether or not the target is ult--able. Thirdly, the animation pulses in and out for effect. Though the 1st problem is annoying, it's really the 2nd and 3rd problem that get mixed up. It's hard to tell whether the indicator is disappearing because the target is out of hp range or if the indicator is pulsating like it normally does. Multiple times, I've mistaken the opponent's being out of hp range with the animation simply pulsating and vice versa. This confusion costs me a lot during lane phase. Targets who are barely within the ult-able range especially poses this problem. I find myself having multiple missed ult opportunities and many opponents surviving with slivers of HP.

Though people have told me that I shouldn't be relying too much on the indicator before ulting people, as long as the ult notification is there, I find myself relying on it. After all, the purpose of the indicator seems to be to make ult-able targets clear and distinguishable. This is a relatively easy fix, and Riot should at least look into a potential change. Thanks.

Ive never noticed the indicator, I just try hard to use it as an execute rather than a finisher (if that makes any sense)

I've wasted my flash a few times since I can't really tell when it starts/what the range is. I agree
