I am so confused right now. Won 4 games and lost 6 in placements
How did i get bronze V from winning 4 placements and losing 6 compared to last year i only won one and got into bronze 4 how is this possible?

You will basically always place lower than your ending last season. That is just the way placements work.
First season - ~Low Silver most players, if you end there. Next season- Bronze, maybe silver although very very unlikely.
If you skip a season, I think it helps a little, but maybe not.
People will say, your placement are vs other bronze players. So of course you don't get placed high, because you are playing vs bronze 5. But that doesn't explain why EVERYONE basically drops quite a few. And that is because Riot just wants us to play more, to grind more. If you start at your true rank, well that wouldn't be fun in Riot's mind.
Placements are a waste of time. You just used up 10 games of not gaining LP to just be automatically placed lower than last season. People say this builds up your MMR, but I don't think that matters.
To a Bronze5 player, just play to improve yourself. Play your best. But also play for fun. It is unlikely you get Gold this season (although possible), so really ignore your "rank" and just try to win lane.
Riot's placement system takes into account your previous rank, so if you just placed B4 and decided to leave it and try harder next season it is just gonna punish you for that
Where you rank is determined by MMR. You had an already low MMR from a previous season which guaranteed you to be placed Bronze 5~4 even if you won most of your placements. As for the season before that, you hadn't really played the season before that one fully and hadn't really established a low enough MMR to be placed in B5 after that even after losing it all.
It's possible to be placed equal to or higher than where you placed if you're below Diamond. It just seems odd because MMR is not visible and the visible rank means nothing for the system other than for end of season rewards, and who you're allowed to queue up with.
