I just saw the new champion's abilities revealed and i'm asking myself how will she "take" the river/water element with her W, on maps without river ? i just thought about ARAM and TT firsthand, but what about other rotating modes too ? Nexus Blitz, Ascension etc etc...
Or is she a Summoner's Rift only champion ?

Likely the same way the "Waterwalking"-rune have worked in ARAM since it was invented: It doesn't work.
I was just playing ARAM and only just learned that the HP relics are water so if you W on them you get water element GG EZ
I came here to ask just this. As a 3s and Aram player mostly, i like to play a wide variety of champs but CC is too important and not having access to it in 2 game modes as compared to one is just dumb and bad design without compensation of some sort or a work around. What if she could get it from using the turret as a target?

True and even there, ARAM bushes are only on first and second turret. It will be hard to get nature in ARAM.
I think she will be an udyr case in aram : Reroll, don't pick.
We all know Riot will disable ARAM and Twisted Treeline by the time Qiyana goes live. And when we question their poor decision they will pull the "We don't have the resources." card, just like they did with Dominion. Because how dare other maps and modes other than Summoner's rift exist, am i right?
Either that or she will just be Ivern/Udyr tier in ARAM.

Oh it gets worse imagine using her top and losing lane even slightly you are affectively locked out of the river element after that, in fact i am baffled how she could be anything besides a jungler yet they have stated she is not a jungler so.... i genuinely don't get this champion.
Ur asking how she's going to take a water element on a map that's filled with frozen water... my guess is they'll just have you click outside the bridge/ the turrets/ certain parts of the bridge. It ain't that big of a mystery.
I guess in TT Vilemaw's pit and the alters could act as water. For ARAM I guess the extra icey parts or the straight line running through the middle of the bridge, or they add water to both maps only if she's in the game.

My guess is they'll tweak her like they did Shyvana, just not sure how. Shyvana's passive gives her stats based on dragons slain, but there are none on ARAM or 3s, so instead she gets them from feeding poros and killing Vilemaw.
Well they don't design champions around ARAM since it's crappy game mode, so you'll probably only get 2 elements.
