How to counter Heimerdinger Top ?

People who can poke and harass his turrets down and sustain his harass (Gnar, Kennen, Vladimir) work well against him. Against a Heimerdinger, you'll probably lose your turret: that's okay: you can outroam him hard. Heimer's TP presence isn't awesome, since he wants to siege and shove rather than gank. (He needs to set up ahead of time). If you're looking to get a gank, focus all your energy on harassing his turrets down; they start on a fairly long cooldown. Don't sit under your turret at the beginning of the game; use whatever poke you have (Boomerang Toss, Thundering Shuriken, Flame Breath, whatever) to kill the turrets and keep him from setting up his Illuminati Fortress.

TL;DR Harass turrets, outroam, don't let him set up

as long as you have a somewhat spammable ranged skill, he's no real problem. An heimer main once told me that, and if you know it, as long as you apply this, you've won lane and can even destroy him in lane phase.

Brand, Lux, Liss, Rumble, etc.... Kill turrets.

I've always felt azir was his best counter. If your a top lane tank jus pick nasus into him. Nasus can get stacks off the turrets :)

He is a sick champ.

Vladimir, Jayce and Kayle are pretty hard counters.

If you prefer to have fun and be classy as fuck then choose Vladimir or Jayce. Say goodbye to heimerdinger and a lot of the annoying ass toplaners that make me want to tear my hair out!

Which is why you destroy his turrets before he finishes setting up at top.....
