I won 8 matches and 2 losses and my wins were at least 7-2 each game and i was unranked season 6 as i didn't play that season but i got bronze 5

You were bronze 5 in season 4 and season 5 which means that you had a bronze 5 MMR. Seeing how players generally get placed lower than they were before after a reset it was expected that you wouldn't be placed above bronze 5. On the bright sight you didn't drop either, so that is something.

i thought the mmr only caries on from the last season guess i was wrong

Indeed, the MMR will never truly "reset", it's just some soft resets that are generally not benificial for you as their purpose is to weed out people that got placed too high.

But don't worry, as of right now every game of yours has a high impact which means that if you win alot your MMR will improve drastically.

It placed you at B5, but quickly bumped your your solo MMR to bronze 3. You will likely skip the B4 tier entirely. It is saying your MMR right now is 1034. 1200 is silver, 800 is bronze 5 typically. If it read your original mmr as 800, then you should climb very quickly.
