You just don't see Xerith as your almost guaranteed multiple reports for playing well on him. He's the champ religiously played by most scripters and since he's so rare in games you just presume if someone's playing him that's why.

Elise is very hard to pull off. kalista is just kinda gutted. swain is incredibly boring to play, there is nothing flashy in his kit so he is rarely played. rumble, i don't know. sion, i don't know. yorick, i don't know. kayle is super boring and incredibly feast of famine. Nunu is just boring. cass i don't know. xerath, i don't know. lissandra, i don't know. viktor, i really don't know.

A LOT of those champions recently came out of being highly meta which is a large reason why. Elise is highly popular high ELO.

  1. I don't know, she's my second most played Champ. But if I had to guess it's probably a combination of "can't miss a skillshot and succeed" and "Spiders, F that"
  2. Bot lane is a terrifying place right now, and it takes serious dedication to reliably All-in with Kalista as you gotta know stack damage at various levels and itemisation points. 13/12. ?
  3. Swain isn't super popular even when strong, and he's still gaining traction as a bully pick top. I'd say he'll be more common as time passes
  4. Well rumble just got nerfed, and in general AP fighters aren't as popular as AD Also heat.

  6. Contrary to belief No one remembers Yorick Mori (even though he crushes top literally every time I see him)

  9. Useless, actually cancer, Somehow makes enemy junglers More useless than himself. It's like being a politician: the better of two useless heaps.
  10. Low mobility, "Snakes F that" Fundamentally less awesome skins than popular mids
  11. Artillery mages have never been super-popular, but my view of them is skewed by a friend who religiously plays them.

The fact that Viktor isn't just the Annie or Lux version of skillshots. He has a vector, a delayed AoE, and a harass with a bonus harass he needs to use to feel better about trades.

Now I like Viktor, but I can promise you most mages play more intuitively at a pick-up-and-play level. Think Rumble ult.
