So currently I main Ziggs because he's incredibly fun to play and does everything I want my champions to do. When I queue I go for mid/bot and people always think I'm trolling with the Ziggs bot pick. Does anyone else do this? Is it so terrible? I do fairly well with him anywhere I play him and in my opinion he brings enough the table that an adc is not inherently necessary.

try malzahar morgana bot, its pure cancer Heimer alistar with double zzrot and banner is pure cancer too
some stuff just works go for it
besides adc can be played elsewhere too
TheOvermind2 votesI think ziggs would work amazingly well not and synergies with all kinds of supports (poke /all in) and sounds like he would round up a teamcomp with a yasuo zed talon mid very well. I am almost compelled to try it; it's just that I play him so differently mid (constant shove and then either poke under turret or roam and shove wave while I'm gone with ult ) that I might have to play him differently bot idk.

Kidro1 votesgranted I'm only low silver so this has a lot to do with that but carry's arnt going to build MR to counter his dmg and ziggs can 3 shot turrets after midgame
IronwallJackson1 votesYou are objectively wrong. ADCs are necessary because their high sustained damage is necessary to take objectives quickly and kill front liners, especially tanks. Ziggs is good at taking towers and his objective control is good, but he doesn't have the other things you want from a traditional ADC.

Next patch, ADCs get quite a large buff too. An ADC like Ashe who builds ER IE and LW would get a 20 AD buff for free.

If he struggles with tanks he doesn't have exceptional sustained damage.
Furthermore, the thing about mages bot isn't that they can't lane versus ADCs. They can lane against them just fine. But the problem is with how they scale relative to ADCs.
Mages are much more level-reliant than an ADC is. Being forced to share exp with your support means that, even if you are technically even with the enemy adc, they will be more valuable because they aren't as reliant on scaling with their levels. Ziggs wants to level up so the base damage on his abilities and their cooldowns get better. By going bottom lane he is going to be struggling more than the Jinx or Twitch who can scale based off of their baller as fuck auto attacks, rather than abilities.
And, as people said, your team frankly needs an ADC-equivalent. Kindred jungle might work as a fine replacement, but if you don't have one you're going to struggle as the game goes on.

If you are a diamond player playing in silver you can pull an ap jhin just because the enemy is stupid enough to don't know how to farm, group or trade.
For me at least only in bronze I can make stupid shit like jarvan support or soraka mid work.
KitsuneKrash1 votesI remember back when I started playing League mid-s4, Ziggs supp was fairly common. He has poke, a slow, & decent peel. Never seen him played as an apc in the botlane tho.
