Rage Quitters

So I was in my Gold 4 Promos on my last game of the series, and we had a significant problem that lost us the game. Our Top laner Irelia after 2 deaths top straight up flamed us and then quit at about 5 minutes in. She never came back. So from the 5 minute mark, it was a 4v5 with a fed Mundo on the other team. I'm still baffled at this persons reaction to dying twice. As much as our team tried to stay in the game, as much as I tried my butt off to win, it was to no avail. We had a significant disadvantage from the get go. I lost my series, and my LP over a rage quitter. I think I've mentioned this before, but the remake system still doesn't cover things like this even though its still a death sentence when it happens. There should be a system in place that allows a remake after an extended period of time that someone is DC'd. We have the "remake if someone hasn't connected after 3 minutes, but we should have a "remake if a player hasn't come back after several minutes" option. I've been screwed over so many times since the Inception of Remake because of people quitting after 3 minutes and not coming back. Chances are, if a player is still Dc'd after 7 minutes, they aren't coming back, which hinders the team it happens to greatly. As grateful for the Remake feature as I am, it can do to be expanded upon.

I do like this idea; however, there are drawbacks to every system that they could put in place. If you could remake after a player is afk for several minutes it would be unfair to the team that possibly played well if they don't get any LP for playing a game that they would win. But would it be fair to give the team LP for a game that they might not have been able to win without the afk and change the rankings in the wrong direction. There could also be the problem of duo players abusing the system and "trade" being afk so save LP. Though this could probably be fixed. These are just my thoughts, if there was an easy solution I'm sure Riot would be using it already.

So just because people play well in a given game, we shouldn't have this system? Its more unfair to the team this happens too. It shouldn't matter how well people are playing, what should matter is if its a 5v5 or not. Plus, with the current system, the person that afk's is docked LP regardless making the duo problem not really a problem at all. Perhaps to reduce the incentive to do this more, people that willingly disconnect by force closing the game (idk if actually detectable but I think it could be) could lose more LP than normal which could tackle the afk problem as well. And for those who abuse this by standing in base, Rito could just time you out for being afk for a while (might already be implemented idk).
