Akali's Invisibility.

The main point of this discussion is about Akali's E. Twilight Shroud. Akali teleports to a nearby location, leaving a cover of smoke at her previous location. While inside the shroud, Akali becomes Invisible and gains Movement Speed. Attacking or using abilities will briefly reveal her. Enemies inside the smoke have their Movement Speed reduced. This by it's self is literally stupidly ridiculous considering she has 3 dashes on her ultimate that recharge fairly quickly. Her energy goes down at a descent rate but the energy the Q gives back is enough for another ult to finish off the kill or a E to escape/ disengage. Couple these facts that shes a ENERGY champion and therefor spamming her spells are not as nearly as punishing as if she used mana. For me personally I hate Akali with a passion to face mid and occasionally top with ignite for the cheese kill. But I started getting more pissed at her when they buffed her E so Pink Wards (Control Wards) couldn't see her again. What are you supposed to do if an akali jumps on you and your playing lets say Vladamire. You charged up your Crimson Rush but Ohhhh you cant use it because shes invisible. She will wait out your Q and then jump on you and if you pool she just has to wait a little longer to jump on you again which is very annoying and broken. Akali doesn't have a crazy high win rate but I think thats what makes her broken, alot of people dont realize how easily she can snowball with just that bullshit burst and shes not really popular. But when you do see an Akali and your playing someone without AOE damage your basically f**ked. Which brings me to the true point of this discussion Do you think Akali's W should remain the way it is or add some sorta counter play to it like the ability to see her if she moves to much in the shroud. You can buy scanner but that doesn't allow you use auto attack etc. I personally thought when she got revealed by wards she was balanced, she was a double edge sword. One shot the adc and Zhonyas, then your team would follow up and if you didn't one shot fast enough or messed up you would die. But now she has: *Built in life steal and damage amp from passive *Q that gives back energy to further rape them in the ass. *E that makes you Go COMPLETELY invisible with 2 exceptions:Scanner and Twisted Fate Ultimate/ and this gives you a dash for the early game. *R massive range, 3 charges, recharges fast, low cost, decent damage.

So a few things. Akali's W is her twilight shroud, and her ultimate uses shadows not energy. Play any into her, the moment she shrouds you just pop tibbers and it's a pretty much guaranteed hit. As an Akali main(more so the old one when she could be revealed, etc. I hate pretty much every bit of the assassin rework). If you're playing an ap mid go ROA as your first item and she lacks the damage to kill you but due to her being inherently very squishy you should be able to kill her or at the very least out trade her. If she Q's you back up til Q goes away or hit her with something while she's walking up to auto you pre six. She does do hybrid damage but it's mostly magic so building mr can really help as well. The mistake a lot of people make is that they'll take the q+auto harass and be afraid to counter harass giving akali a free trade.

To be honest I find Talon and Zed to be much better currently, they also don't get shut down nearly as easily. Most akali's are going to be rushing a gun blade, if she doesn't get fed early she won't snowball out of control. She just doesnt have the damage without items. Oh syndra works great against her as well, she dashes to your face you just stun, q, ulti her. If you have any questions let me know, I'd be totally down to discuss this more. For the record I do believe that she should be revealed by control worlds in her shroud, and also.. she used to be a lot worse to deal with than she is currently. Main thing I hate about instant invisible with no trace or seeing them is that they are untargetable by point and clicks or autos.

Remove it and replace it with an ACTUAL assassin ability

I hate while Akali is her shadow under your turret, the turret just will not hit her even though there is no minions & she hits you with he Q
