How Many Threads Will it Take for Riot to Address Dynamic Queue?
I come to the boards occasionally but I must admit, I play the game for most of my time spent with League, and there have been complaints in and out of game ever since Dynamic queue's launch.
What it seems to me is a case of, "This looks really good on paper, but in practice....well not so much." Team builder was great! For the first few weeks of dynamic queue, I had fun as well; however getting rid of solo queue entirely was not a good decision by Riot.
Now I've heard some counterpoints from others such as Riot saying things to the extent of, "If we kept both queues, they would be too split and queue times would increase even more" and "Statistics show that the majority of the player base actually enjoys dynamic queue!" Well from experience, solo queue was a relatively good display of INDIVIDUAL skill, and dynamic queue is a decent representation of TEAM STRATEGY, both of which I have no problem being in a ranked system. However Riot has taken the stance of NOT having both, and it obviously has caused quite a bit of community backlash, that is consistently a hot topic and clearly won't simply blow over.
From my experience (and I saw someone else shared these sentiments), playing against premades isn't fun just like playing with premades isn't fun. High elo queue times have also been affected dramatically, and even though I'm not in high elo myself, I have friends who are and express a great deal of frustration with queue times and bad matches.
I know there isn't one clear-cut and simple solution to this problem, but adding solo queue back for solo players would be a good start.
TL;DR Riot, compromise with the solo players to give them a viable option to have consistent solo experience in ranked!
