The future of bans

With the number of champs that are coming out each season, what are the chances of seeing an increase in banned champs? For instance, if we are at 128 playable champs and can still only ban 6 champs, will we be able to ban a total of 8 champs once we hit 150 playable champs or will this continue to stay at 6 banned champs?
