Support Mastery Changes

As a support who's given it PLENTY of time and work since the "change", the new mastery weights are bullshit. Nothing has changed. I lost a game where I went 7/5/33 and got an S, won a game where I went 8/8/37 got an S+ and won a game where I went 1/0/22 and got an S-. I had a significantly higher impact and kill participation in the last game despite the lower score (89% kill participation). Whoever gets more kills gets the higher score.

It feels like nothing has changed in regard to support weights. Damage shielded, wards placed and destroyed, healing done, stats like this really should help determine ranks, not simply a kill fest game in which the other team didn't surrender @20 (which is usually the case in games capable of producing an S ranking or above.) Another thing that irks me is that when a game gets cut short you can't really get S+ rankings because not enough kills happened by 20 minutes, so an S+ performance gets an A+ or S-.

I feel it's changed so much. Since the shift, I've been able to get four champs to mastery 6 and one to mastery 7. I had a stretch of 5 games that I didn't get less than an S-! Before the change, I easily got A+ for 75% of my games. As far as I'm aware, wards placed, damage dealt to champs and damage taken all have weight on your mastery grade. The reason you got S- on your last game wasn't because you only had 1 kill, it was because you only had 23 kills participated in. Sure, you had more kills in the other games, but you also had 11 and 15 more assists! I usually find if I get anything less than 27 assists, it won't be higher than an S- (under most circumstances).
