Hey guys. I was wondering if you can suggest any good top laners. Im level 16 but i have an expansive knowledge of league. I play Gangplank with the occasional Olaf.

Cheers

Darius is a good juggernaut if you want to be a damage threat but also relatively tanky, Nautilus is a great tank w/ good cc that is more rewarding if you hit it right (knocking up all 5 of enemy team w/ R), Fiora Gnar or Jayce Rumble Kennen if you want to be a damage source bringing poke/zoning/some utility and a more damage, these last champs are in some ways higher skillcap because of their squishyness and challenges especially midgame against a lot of toplane matchups.

I would argue that all of these champs when played well and picked thinking about your and the enemy teams compositions can be very impactful on the game.

Maokai is probably the "easiest" tank if you wanted to try him before they nerf him into the ground. His E theoretically allows you to never waste $ on wards for river while his overall kit isn't hard to master. If you want a true challenge though, try gnar/rumble. Both are somewhat annoying to play, but can do a scary amount of damage when you get decent.

Sion is my top lane Bae. you might like him. He can be a tank or heavy hitting fighter, is able to jungle, and even play support and do it well

Mordekaiser Morde

It looks troll, but I've tried it and it doesn't seem too bad. I've seen Cho'gath destroy it and repeated ganks/camp does shut you down before you can get the ball rolling.

Illaoi Illaoi is fun and good as far as I know from playing around with it.
