Try playing Neeko Tank in Top

Hello everyone, is a very versatile champion, with a pretty complete kit, In that sense I had the idea to play her tank in toplane, similar to Viktor.

The idea was a build of this style:

I found it quite satisfactory, as it makes Neeko very difficult to kill and maintains decent damage, apart from the utility of zz´rot and constant CC.

I just wanted to share this with you to see what you think or if you are interested in trying it.

how many games did you play with this? tbh i am not sure but maybe and what runes

I played about 3 or 4 games in TOP, and even when I lost lane I was able to be useful to win. My main role is jungle, so surely someone who plays lanes will do better than me. I also tried Neeko Tank support, the problem is that it takes longer to buy items for the lowest gold gain, so I go for a cheaper build, with item 3107 item 3109 item 3190 .

I still can't decide which runes are the best for Neeko, it depends a lot on the matchup, Electrocute, PtA, lethal tempo, Most of them seem viable to me, I think arcane comet' is the best way to annoy in lane.

I actually thought of playing her as a tank but I'm not sure what build and runes to use and when I'm even able to play a match. I'll take your build path for now and give it a shot. With possible tweaks of my own. Any suggestion on what to start 1st? I feel like iceborn 1st then zz is a good start.

I recomend item 3057 to poke whit AA in lane, if you want to assemble an AP item to keep some damage and clean, I recommend you item 3157 , that makes a good match with Neeko and can give you those extra seconds of life when you jump into the middle of the enemy team to put the R. As for the runes, you can take whatever you can think of that can be used for that matchup, even Klepto.

Hmm...maybe Aftershock might do along with demolish in the primary and for the secondary either 1) mana flow and transcendent or 2) eye ball collection and ultimate hunter

While tank Neeko will be tanky, her shield with her ulti will be very weak. Maybe hybrid AP and tank is the best option for Neeko.

There's ways to build her tank without all these "nontank" items. (Warmog's/Morello)

I'm fond of item 3065 item 3148 item 3075 item 3124 item 3091 item 3047 personally. At least then you can abuse her W on the split pushes, and the Hextech/guinsoo's/wits will create a damage source to boost heals on SV
