how should i build jax

what does he use the most like attack speed /defense/ attack damage ? and what should i build first ? attack speed/defense/attack damage items?

Everything.

Damage usually. Jax's counterstrike and defense steroid are strong enough to make him feel tanky 2 major offensive items into the game, but on the 3rd major item you'll want to go defense.

Because you need to transition into defense - you also want offensive items that aren't reliant on Crit, armor pen, rabadon's, void staff, or Lich Bane to become useful late-game. As such - you're looking at items with a lot of power to cost early (and as surviving longer means more hits, defense will scale your offensive power late anyways). Jax is also ~2/3rds physical, 1/3rd ability, so you want to go a little AA heavy with his offense.

The most cost-effective early-damage and hybrid damage item is and always has been: item 3078

The most cost-effective phys/auto item ATM is: item 3153

So you probably want those 2 as your first 2 major items.

Then, seeing as a typical game only lasts ~33 minutes and sees ~11k gold per player (~three 3k items, 1k in boots, 1k in the bank when a Nexus explodes) you're goal with a defensive item is grabbing the single most cost-effective defensive item in the game, similar to your strat with damage items. You don't want any scales %HP stuff, you just want a lot of power without much effort. Usually that's: item 3143 though that might change soon with the balance changes. Also - solid defense is heavily reliant on the enemy team, so if they have a crazy LeBlanc you'd probably want Banshee's instead, if they have a crazy Tristana maybe Thornmail. If you're able to survive pretty well and want to go more damage-heavy, maybe Sunfire Cape.

For the 4th major item, probably more defense.

For the 5th - well, whatever you feel like getting.

Anyways: item 3078 item 3153 item 3143 item 3102 is mostly your default as Jax.

item 3153 item 3078 item 3111 item 3143 item 3102 item 3026 Is pretty standard. Given his most recent buffs to his Ulti you could go glass cannon if you get fed. item 3074 item 3072 item 3031
But I dont really recommend it lol, Ive done it a few times its kinda fun cause you lifesteal faster than they can kill you.
