10 - 0 on placements and still bronze 5

I think everyone misses the point in all of these threads.

If a 10-0 placements streak is going to give them bronze 5, then no matter what they do they'll get Bronze 5. SO JUST GIVE THEM BRONZE 5 and don't waste 10 games of their time...

He could have used those 10 wins in a row to climb from bronze 5 to bronze 4 and into his series for Bronze 3. That's nearly two full divisions ahead of where he is because of 10 wasted matches.

MMR isn't hard reset between seasons, you got placed in B5 because your MMR was really low and the soft reset only lowered it. Everybody got hit with it, so you'll just have to climb up like the rest.

Cause you were bronze 1 last season and you will always be placed lower than last season.

Well, it's called a reset, and you were already at an ending rank of Bronze to begin with. The reset usually drops you about a tier, give or take a little depending on some other factors.

You generally drop after a reset.

If you were mid-to-low Bronze beforehand, I'm not surprised.
