More recognition for supports

Unlike most people, I really like playing support because it's extremely satisfying knowing when you saved someone and they were able to turn the fight around. However, I rarely get recognition for any of my plays unless I'm playing someone like Thresh or Blitzcrank. The only exception to this is if I'm playing with my friends and they hear me shout in their ears "OOOOH DID YOU SEE HOW I SAVED YOU?" to which they reply "What? No?" and then I say "ZED ULTED YOU BUT I <insert amazing LCS play here>". I know steps were taken in recent patches to remedy this like the additional stats on the post game stats page, but who ever looks at wards purchased time crowd controlled etc? I'm thinking a small thing that could be added is a little text that appears above your head after a fight that says something like "Saved by <champion> by <x> damage!". Something small just to get supports more recognition.

support players don't deserve any recognition with their point and click boring/stale/unskillful kits. Maybe if supporting had more skill involved you'd get more recognition like you do on thresh/blitz ect.

But until then, no you dont get any honours for using point and click abilities, big ass AOE healing, shielding ect.

95 percent of supports in solo queue dont even track summoner spell cooldowns, which would be a good way of adding SOME type of responsibility/skill to the role.

It's not so much that supports are hard to play mechanically, it's more of understanding what's about to happen since a lot of supports are responsible for shields through skills and items as well as redemption, which all require some level of prediction and understanding of the match.

I know it feels bad. But too much visual clutter. We are the unsung heroes.

They just need to show damage shielded and damage healed for allies. That's all I need tbh. Like when I carry a game you really, REALLY, have to hard carry to get any sort of comment and even than it's only a little comment like "gg KoKoboto" or "gg (insert champion name here)".

Honestly it's not a big deal but I really wanna see damag shielded/healed to know how well a build worked out and how much I did that game.
