Ivern Support

I was curious if anyone had found a viable build, mastery page, etc for Ivern in the support role. Obviously he's meant for jungle, but I was curious if he could work as a support.

All ideas, theories, and anecdotes on attempts welcomed.

Ivern support can take smite, this gives him an additional slow, or if you need it, 2 more wards. As for adc interactions, he allows them to gain a dash. You don't have to root a champ, rooting a minion can get you behind them, which is just as dangerous, especially for bursty adcs or those with escapes. Sivir's ult increases daisy's attack speed. Unless your jungle is a farming jungle like shyv, giving up the nearby camp, after first clear, shiuldn't be an issue. This gives your lane an xp edge you wouldn't normally have. Just things to keep in mind. There is always the few jungle invades you will successfully get if you ward properly as well. The extra smite also helps to secure drag and baron, Double red bot is scary. Just a few things more things to think about.

Ivern Caitlyn i feel will be a huge thing now, cait gets 2 stacks while in bushes, and ivern makes bushes, his root into cait trap, and on top of it, he can counter jungle with a smite if he ever decides to, chilling for slow, can build whatever he wants to and feel it doesn't cripple him, if anything because of how cait naturally is safer

He was actually designed to be a support AND jungler. Those are the two roles he fits best into.

As for support builds, you can either build him to be a poke support or tank support. For poke, you can build him like a Morgana. For tank, any support tank build should work on him.

he's probably better as support than in the jungle imo

I've played Ivern support a few times and he's honestly pretty decent as long as his ult is up and you stay pretty passive, I've played some Orianna support and their highly similar in their support play style, my build is Talisman of Assension, Ruby Sightstone, Mikaels, locket, mobi boots and then I've done a crystal scepter last item and have done really well. I also max e then w then q XD but that's whatever lol, but he's really easy in my opinion as a support, I've not tried him with smite but I might and see how it goes

Actually, Ivern was made for support. In the roles, he is classed for support. The passive is to benefit you and your ADC. For Ivern support I would build talisman, ruby sightstone, ludicity boots, redemption, ardent censer and a mikaels or solari depending on the game style. For masteries just get your usual AP healing ones and build into windspeakers.

His abilities don't help enough for support. He has a snare and a shield but just having that doesn't warrant being a support. That aside he would be under the category of Jungle support as he doesn't do a lot of damage and he is very team oriented. But in lane he doesn't have any interaction with any adcs(except maybe Caitlyn because of her passive) so it would be kind of pointless to bring him into lane. I am all for off meta picks though so try it out lol just please don't bring it into ranked.
