A Ranked "Team Builder"

It's been talked about enough that we all know team builder the way it is now just wouldn't work at all for ranked. But there is a simple solution. For a ranked version of "team builder" you would queue up for a position not a specific champion. So that way it would set you up with people who all queued for different rolls. Then the pick/bans would happen as normal after that. Worst case scenario is that trolls will be trolls I guess but that will happen no matter what. There could also be incentives to play rolls that are more uncommon. The most obvious one is that there is a quicker queue time but other things riot could add for incentives could be a % increase in IP earned based on how uncommon that specific roll is at the time of queueing. What do you guys think? I think it's a best of both worlds situation but there is always going to be people that prefer the original system the best and I don't blame them. Why change something that works right? But either way it's just my idea on the matter.

You phrased that wrong. You don't want a ranked team builder. You want a team builder that works for ranked.

There is a difference. Also, if it is for ranked, there shouldn't be reward/bonuses for queueing for an unwanted position. if a position is asked less than 20% of the times, it might be just due to popularity. If it's picked less than 5%, thus hindering the speed of queues, then it's a problem of reliability(i.e. people won't pick what is perceived as less important because it's ranked), and Riot should address that. because if 40% people want to mid and only 5% want to jungle, you can't just explain that as "jungle is boring" or "top is boring" .

Speaking of TB, it would be interesting a feature that keeps track of your records as role/position/champion and your results.

Reprising my role in: Grammar Nazi of the Boards, I have just one thing to say:

You don't play a roll. You eat it.

Other than that, I mostly like the idea.
