OK so i started playing league of legends a few weeks ago but i continued on my old account and i saw hextech and i learned what it does. SO after some games i managed to open 2 chests and now my last 10 games i played i didnt get a single key fragment IM ON NORTH AMERICA and : A: First i thought maybe i need to get an S rank. I did a 3 4 times but no key B: Second i thought i must play with my owned characters to get one. I did and 0 key fragments. And i played with free too and didnt get any key frags and that all happend in 10 games.

So please reply and help me because i need 1 more key frag but i cant get it for some reason THANK YOU :)[slayer-jinx-catface]

I'm not sure if you need to own the champion to get key fragments. The only prerequisite that I am aware of for key fragments is that you win the game (also for now, not playing ARAM or TT since they are bugged). I have only gotten 4 key fragments in my 12 won games.

However key fragment drop rate decreases as you get more key fragments (this resets monthly so they don't become infinitely rare). Sounds like you've gotten 8 key fragments, so that might make them fairly rare.
