LeaverBuster for Rotating Gameplay?

I havent ditched or afk'd a game in seemingly a year or two, then I leave ONE A.R. URF and get leave busted for five minutes.

Does anyone else feel that Leaver Buster can be unfair?

My own personal example and reason for this post: When you accidently solo queue, but ditch a game to play with your friends. I dont think I should be punished, even if marginally, for wanting to play with my friends. Especially just for an AR URF. Please add your own examples so we can get more info to riot on how to keep leaver buster in check. Sometimes I feel like its a bit of a nazi and just the idea of being doled out punishments is disheartening to all.
