Match queues

So, there is a huge issue that needs to be addressed with queuing at the beginning of a game, especially in the standard Summoner's Rift. People are fighting for roles, despite the fact that it's generally considered good form to let the first to call a role be the one to play a role. Many other games allow players to queue by the role they wish to play. Why isn't League of Legends? Having a player forced to play a role they don't like or aren't good at makes the game horrible for everyone else. I understand this creates an imbalance in the wait time for a match if it's left as simple as that. So here's some ideas. Offer a bonus in IP for a player who will fill the less wanted roles. Or another choice: Player says he prefers mid, but if no match is found in 3/5/7 minutes (perhaps a checkbox?), he will play (more checkboxes) these given roles instead. The game is no fun when we have to play a role we don't like. It's no fun when we're losing because someone else is playing a role they aren't good at. PLEASE, PLEASE, address this immediately. Other games have been doing this for over 5 years. Where are you at Riot?! I want LoL to be as fun as it used to be.

Does Draft mode not satisfy this need? Obvious you can't just queue for a single role with it, but it still lets you choose.

Blind pick suuuuuuuuucks.

I've never actually played draft mode. I don't know who to ban. I don't want a champ that I've just bought and I'm trying to learn to be banned. I'm still leveling and learning all of the champs. Draft mode is a bit intimidating for the people who are still learning all the ins and outs of the game. Also, and this part is just assumption, does it fix the issue of people being pushed into a role they don't want or play well? I wouldn't think so. I think a major improvement in gameplay would be made if everyone was always in their strongest role or their role of choice. I suppose I'll just go look on Mobafire, figure out who my worst counters for each character are, and ban them for now in draft mode to try it out, but I'm not sure it really addresses the issue. I would think people still get stuck in roles they don't want sometimes. I'll at least try it out though. Shrugs.

Maybe it does. I've just queued for the first time in draft mode. That is almost exactly what I'm looking for.
