new season placement

I would like some accountability with Riot... last season, I was in Gold V, fell to Silver II and spent most of my time in Silver I. Something to do with my MMR, I fell faster than I climbed, but I can live with that; albeit very very VERY frustrating.

New season rolls around, and I finished 2-8 in the pre-qual; placed in Bronze IV. Terrible right? Well, LOL is a TEAM game. When I am stuck with an Urgot MID that takes smite and ghost, can I really help that? When I play a 50 minute game and my mid Jayce, despite first blood due to my gank, finishes with 130 CS, what can I really do?

I did some math. My KDA during these ten games were, on average:

10.8 kills (108 kills), 7.1 deaths (71 deaths), and 10.4 assists (104 assists)

My question is thus: to what extent is this factored in, along with your CS per/minute?

Seems to me, someone who played in Silver and Gold last year, who averaged those stats in pre-qual on TERRIBLE teams, should get some sort of leniency for the terrible record of 2-8...? Am I crazy in saying this?

League is a team game, and you are only as good as your worst player. I also suffered through THREE DCs in those games. Two reconnected much later, and one not at all...

To what extent does THAT play a factor?

This has just turned into a vicious circle where blame is "shared" equally in losses when in fact that is hardly ever the fact.

So I will be playing in Bronze IV to start this pre-qual and more than likely I will be stuck here in MMR/elo hell...

Just an avid fan of the game trying to get some answers here. I'm no pro, but I DO enjoy playing with competent people...

Thanks!

Quit bitching. There are people who won 10/10 of their promos and got placed in bronze 5.
