HOWEVER
The fact that this poor Garen had to lane against someone with enough game knowledge and skill to make it to diamond isn't fair to him. And thought the mmr isn't exact, the average still has a 700 point difference.

Subject 51 votesIt's kind of why I don't play normals much anymore. I always get paired with people below my skill level and it's just an absolute stomping fest. And this isn't even ego-masturbation talking.
In the end if it's a close game it's usually being told by a champion victory rather than a strategic victory: whoever feeds the champion that bursts / kills the most will eventually close the game out. It just isn't fun to be matched with beginners, or against beginners with the 'special snowflakes' of power sprinkled between the population. What sucks the most is that the very bad and the very good have just as much power over the game in most cases.
In normals, you should have your ranked paired up with your normals: exceptions are the top 95%. Because . . . well, I mean. You literally won't be finding a game. EVER.
