Smurfing

Why do people feel the need to do this? I mean why must you make an alternate account and purposely play at a lower skill level. To me it seems that the player has reached their highest rank and can't stand no longer being the superior player. So in turn people who actually play at their proper skill level get patronized far too often. Who wants to play a high silver/low gold match with someone that is actually much higher than that? Do they not realize how frustrating it is? They don't. They only care for themselves obviously. It quite pathetic honestly. I think its pretty cowardice to have to "beat up on the baddies" so your sad and fragile ego gets fulfilled. Thanks
