Placement system is disgusting

At the end of season 5 i was plat 2 with around 1750 mmr, and with my placements i got put with plat3-diamond 5 and after going 9-1 in placements, i get put into gold 3. How is this fair and how is it right. Can someone explain this system and why i got put where i was.

I am currently gold 3 with 1700 mmr Lol

Yeah, it's sort of fucked. Always has been.

And if you keep playing, you will see gaining 30+ LP when won and losing 10ish LP when losing. Just keep playing.
