Good supports for silver.

Hi everyone, I recently got into silver after climbing my way out of the depths knowns as bronze V...I tried loads of stuff but ended settling down as a support main as I seem to do a lot of work there. Anyways. I got out of Bronze using Rakan, having a pretty decent win rate, but as soon as a got into silver a few days ago, every game I've had has been a loss. Not just as Rakan, but as Janna as well. I mean, I can deal with an ADC who seems to have no clue what to do, I can work around that unless they're really bad and just int, but of course, cannot deal with the top or mid lane dropping themselves in an unescapable hole of feeding from playing stupidly aggressive (Which seems to be a curse down here, no one being able to play passive when losing and when I do it, I Get flame despite obviously just trying to hopefully wait for team to scale into late game). I'm trying to find some supports that can make a huge impact even when the other lanes feed or get behind. I can and have played most of them in the past in normal or something at some point. I'm thinking of picking up Soraka Leona Morgana again, Of course I could always play Blitzcrank but I tend to either hit everything or nothing on him so would prefer some consistency. I used to play Bard a lot a few months back and did pretty well, usually as a counter to champs like Zed etc, but his win rate is negative so I'm not sure, but as it was with Rakan despite being pretty good on him. So any decent suggestions for champs and builds would be appreciated. Thanks :) [slayer-jinx-catface]

I'd go a more damage heavy support. Brand Annie Zyra I would not trust using enchanters (Janna, Raka, Lulu, Etc) with those potatoes.

you either want hard engage like blitz/leona, or high damage like brand/vel koz.

any support can work, but you want to avoid champions that dont blatantly tell your adc to fight when you say so.

your adc will need very clear signals to "just auto attack it"

Congratulations for climbing out of the brutal climb that is bronze 5 to silver 5. <3

I'm a support main but the only champion I struggle to find a strong use for is Rakan I only have one rank 6 token on him while all my other supports are in rank 7 or 6.

This season in SoloQ i quit out very fast after losing getting more loses than wins and pretty much have been frozen in bronze 1 and never gotten higher or lower.

Flex and actually playing twisted treeline despite i don't play ranked much as the previous seasons I'm obviously doing better.

But I remembered the one reason I was losing more games as support in the early weeks of this season and is that in my previous seasons I picked wise times to roam and gank other lanes alone or with my jungler and this last season did help me get gold elo then tilted back to silver 1 but oh well it was just a maokai skin anyway.

But today I just remembered that in the past I used to roam to rotate to top lane then mid lane and quickly return to bot lane.

Best champions I had success with roaming support is Bard, Blitzcrank, Alistar, Nautilus, Thresh, Morgana with annie coming last because I gank top lane when i'm at level 6.

today I went back to my old stragety of just roaming to top lane with alistar and bard and it was so great to turn a struggling top lane to a winning one or for a lossed game at least he got more money for my help.

If I don't have enough money for a item 2049 I will always buy these boots first item 3117 because if your playing alistar there is no way anyone is going to escape your gank.

on my first b I now try to get these 3 item 3117 item 2049 item 2055 (x2).

Drop a control ward down for your top laner they will appreciate that shit.

rush to mid and see if you can gank it or just run past it.

I can try this early game roaming with rakan.

Rakan's kit is good but there is a problem here his stuff scales with ap but his kit is designed to initiate like a tank and like there is some use for this but overall I think my other supports can do much better than him.

I guess he is a great support to bait sucker players who love to get baited by squishy looking champions only for them to get juked and die to something else good for team fights but you never know what is around the corner completely until you run into the problem... mostly veigar's cage.... then his Q... then his...W.... then his ultimate.... then your grey screen.

If your going to play Soraka, Janna, Thresh always buy a Ancient Coin, some players do buy a spell thief blade or relic shield and those items are useful but they give you less money and mana than the other support items give you.

You can just easily gain money with no problem and keep topped up with alot of mana and in return you top up your adc. As for thresh well... his hook can't execute minions because he is ranged and it's annoying trying to get those stacks sorted out only for you to miss the cs because your E isn't charged up enough.

This may sound wired but I love support role and I hope you'll enjoy it more because if you make good plays and keep players all chilled you'll get swarmed with tons of honor.

i main 2 supports, Leona and nami.

They help me climbing from b4 to s5 very fast. My advice is when you win your lane go help mid! they dont expect that. And when the enemy takes a support like lux/soraka/janna play aggresive with leona and always ping when you go in.

Remember you always lose games, you cant win every game.

Iam sure a good support can make a game.
