Why is it even possible to be able to ban someone that your teammate has chosen??? It shouldn't be!! I'm so TIRED of people banning who I wanna play because they "weren't paying attention" or just want to f*** with me. This /needs/ to be removed.

You could always work with your team mate and offer to trade them it if you're first pick.
