New Aatrox genuinely terrifying and I love it

Alrighty, let's get this over with. New Aatrox is good. You can kick or scream all you want, his kit has lost novelty but gained actual, practical use. Health is less of an issue but is balanced somewhat by staying squishy in the earlier game. Your passive procs less often, but it's more likely to be when you need it. In fact, I'd argue he could be OP. His sustain in lane is insane, his E slow keeps him sticky and best of all he has way more build options available to him.

Rather than complain, I would like to give Riot a big thumbs up from me. I think while he might be a little strong, they reimagined the blood well concept and made it suit a demon warrior who revels in the centre of war. he feels way better to play and just generally feels more useful. Top lane Aatrox feels awesome and while Jungle Aatrox might not be as good, it certainly seems more viable. Yes the AS 'nerf' does impact is late game build, but it feels as if he can actually get there with a half decent mid game. I also like how the W feels a lot less feast or famine, and its use in pushing lanes vs building sustain is interesting.

Long story short: Aatrox might not be as much of a novelty as before, but he's certainly in better shape and I whole-heartedly approve of his current kit. The small noisy niche of Aatrox mains may dislike it, but I think the community as a whole will enjoy him in his current state. Rito, you done gooded.
