I'm pretty certain that the store's range restriction literally uses your attack range - 'tis why Shyvana couldn't buy Ravenous in Dragon Form (she gets bonus range). Curious to know if Tahm Kench with Rapidfire Cannon will find the item disabled.

same thing with thresh. he can't buy runans but can't use a ravenous hydra because his aa are ranged
The way hamps were tagged as melee/ranged is different now, apparently some of them were missed (Shyvana)

Most likely a bug due to the range increases on champs. Hydra is prolly set to 125.
