Kalista Unbind

I'm not sure if someone has posted about this already but I personally just want to address it again. So like everyone knows how you can't unbind in league with kalista, right? What's up with that? I recently took a break from league for person reasons and just came back so I'm not sure if this is a glitch or they changed it. I'm pretty sure if they changed it you wouldn't be able to buy another one, but i'm not sure so I'm still going to address it to show more attention to the situation.

At first you couldn't unbind and obviously that was a problem before because you basically became useless, and now it's back with the same problem. What if that person you binded with has to AFK or rages and quits or something?

For instance i had a game tonight and my friend had to AFK and leave the game because he had to go to the hospital for a family emergency, this person was my support. I was clearly binded to them, and after that the adc who can engage an amazing fight became a potato. I was literally a vegetable. Like i was useless because as of right now, Kalista can't rebind with someone.

Just saying for someone who likes kalista, it sucks because at first you want to bind with your support for laning phase and then you may want to go bind with someone who may have a better combo, or like the situation above you don't want to be a potato. So for someone who loves kalista this sucks. I mean "You're an ADC just auto attack", i know I'm not a complete vegetable but still... you feel pretty useless.
